Done is better than Perfect

An imperfect project that meets the specs and is delivered on time is better than a perfectly executed project.

Repeat 3 times each morning and evening, until you believe.

Sure, but the collateral truth is I'll still be improving the code and recompiling, right up till delivery.  Just as long as the penultimate version tests out OK, I cannot resist that naive belief that perfection is just one modification away.  Just one more tweek.

So why is it so unsatisfying to submit a project that is not as good as planned, even if it meets specs?  Maybe if I remembered what else there was to life beyond the keyboard, I might appreciate being DONE more.

Being done means moving on to the next coding project, right?
